Our Cycle Route

The Oxhill to Oxhill route starts, obviously, in Oxhill.
  • Day 1: We head first to Worcester riding along the Monarch's Way and then over to Great Malvern.
  • Day 2:  This is our most hilly day - we head into Wales along the undulating roads to Abergavenny beholding the Back Mountains.
  • Day 3: A beautiful day awaits. We travel in the countryside along a disused railway track (flat road - yipee!) to Newport and then proceed down the Mouth of the Severn to  Chepstow.
  • Day 4: Only a half day today! We start the day by crossing the Severn Bridge and the Clifton suspension bridge and finish in Bristol, where we spend the rest of the afternoon in leisurely repose - most likely with a brew in hand.
  • Day 5: We head to Bath, then travel down Kennet Canal tow path, along the river Avon and a few miles along the Ridgeway. We end the day in Wroughton.
  • Day 6: We start the day cycling through Cricklade, then Fairford near the Cotswold Water Park,  and ending, not surprisingly, in Oxhill.

Annual Cycle Trips

It all started in 2010 when we did a week's cycle ride from Land's End to Oxhill for the charity Different Strokes. We did a blog of the trip with lots of pics which you can see here: CycleLandsEndtoOxhill.

The following year, 2011, we conquered Paris! We cycled Oxhill to Paris in one week (this time for the Chernobyl Children's charity) and, once again, did another blog chock a block with exciting pics. Have a look here: CycleOxhilltoParis

In 2012, we accomplished The Loire Valley. It was another week's cycle ride, this time along the valley of Kings and chateaux and fine wines and beautiful views and ... Have a look at our pretty and picturesque blog here: CycletheLoire, which includes a brilliant video of our trip!

And finally last year, 2013, we took a week to cycle the Norfolk Broads and East Anglia coastline. It was fabulous. There isn't a blog to show you as we decided to have a year off - but we did do a video:
